Hi all! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Lynn. I’m 32 years old and I live on the northern outskirts of the culture-rich city of San Antonio, TX. Other than being on the autism spectrum and having an insatiable appetite for ink and a love affair with 80s style short shorts and meggings, I consider myself a pretty normal guy.
I’m a mathematician by training, an engineer by day and a wine, liquor and cigar enthusiast by night. When I’m not getting inked you can most commonly find me at the bar enjoying some music, mowing down pins at the bowling alley, clanging in a bell tower, at the races or at any of my favorite local restaurants.
For me, tattoos are more than just a hobby. They are a way of life. In a way they saved mine. I got my first tattoo at the age of 28 years and 10 months: a little semicolon on the inside of my right wrist. Having been through way more than my share of misfortunes and hard times (mostly due to my condition), depression, self-injury, suicidal ideation and multiple suicide attempts have been at the very core of my life for as long as I can remember. I always swore up and down that I would never get a tattoo, but Project Semicolon spoke to me in such a way that I couldn’t say no. What I was convinced would be my one and only tattoo immediately turned into an obsession. The rest, as they say, is history.
Other than tattoos, my interests and hobbies include horology, change ringing, music, bowling, playing guitar and bagpipe and Tetris. I’ve also been known to enjoy the occasional round of golf and do the occasional watercolor painting. I absolutely love Lindy Hop but due to life circumstances and location I haven’t gotten to do that in a long time, though maybe sometime in the not too distant future I will get to again. I’m a hardcore racing fan with a particular fondness for F1 and IndyCar though I enjoy NASCAR almost as much.
I am currently in an open relationship with a fellow autism blogger, a place I’d never imagined myself in. I’m asexual and childfree with antinatalist leanings, so I will never have children (something that has caused previous relationships to end, and caused me to swear off relationships in the past).
My religious/spiritual views could best be described as modified pantheism. Politically speaking I am a hardcore Libertarian and advocate for personal freedom. I hold a BS and MS in mathematics, neither of which have really done me much good in the business world but the experiences I gained in college and grad school made the journey worth it.
I hope you will join me on my journey through life and ink. Don’t hesitate to comment, friend me on Facebook (just let me know where you found me!) or shoot me a private message. I normally respond fairly quickly and am always excited to meet new people both near and far.

Here’s a descriptor you can use:
Male, 30, Dx14, dep, bisexual, engineer, tattoo enthusiast, beer Scotch and cigar reviewer. Content warning for pro-cure/anti-ND on account of being shut out of a dream career (airline pilot) due to ASD diagnosis.

Thanks. That’s rather long. I’ve included it all for now but may shorten it later.

That’s fine. Condense as you need to; was just trying to give you stuff you could include if you so chose.

Lynn! How have I never read you ‘About Me’ page?! I’m so sorry it took me this long. I didn’t know you held two degrees! Wowzers!

Hah; no problem. A lot of people haven’t. No offense taken I promise. This page is a wee bit out-of-date anyway; not the least of which is because my profile picture was me “pre ink.” I don’t have any good pics “post ink” so I do what I can?

Hey Lynn! I’m actually “Lynn” too! (I mean not by spelling but by sound).
You have a way of writing that pulls us in, quite lyrical, comforting, almost. All kudos to you for sharing so openly as you have. Whilst the short shorts phenomenon might take a while to fly, you sure have made a darn good case for it. 😊

So you say your name as “jo-Lynn” instead of “jo-leen” then? Interesting.
Anyway thanks for the lovely compliments. Means a lot.

Jolene is my pen name. Minus “Jo” and you have my real name. 😊 Thanks for visiting my site too!

I will sometimes mention antinatalism here. Alas, I guess enough people bitched to quora moderation to ban me. Go figure. Can’t handle the heat I guess.
